Iftar, Merrylands NSW by Killing Matt Wood.

Iftar, a middle eastern restaurant located in Merrylands, NSW designed by interior designer Matt Wood of Killing Matt Wood. Drawing extensively from vernacular architecture, designing a space that embodies the cultural context of the Middle East in the diaspora. The Terra 2 Wall Light in Olive and Brass, along with the minimal Orb Pendant Light, Small in Fabric Flex beautifully compliment the contemporary space.

"I’m always in search of simple yet elevated fittings that complement my dining spaces. Marz lights were chosen for their soft, even illumination and clean, minimal form, which helps foster the relaxed & inviting atmosphere I was trying to achieve. Their quiet sophistication enhances the space without shouting for attention, allowing the overall design to feel cohesive and effortless."

"Lighting plays a central role in shaping this experience. Rather than simply illuminating spaces, it becomes part of the venue’s story, contributing to mood, character and moments of delight. The lighting was selected from a pool of exceptionally talented Australian designers whose work we are fortunate to incorporate into our interiors. The Bright Beads Disc Wall Light by MARZ was chosen for its timeless, understated presence and distinctive geometry, which complements the broader design language of the venue. Its warm timber tones sit comfortably alongside the panelling, while the soft ambient glow feels both playful and atmospheric. Together, these elements help create a relaxed, inviting environment that appeals equally to those who appreciate thoughtful design and to everyday pub-goers drawn to spaces that feel comfortable, generous and authentic.”

Fugazzi, Adelaide SA by Studio Gram.

"Marz Designs wall lights play a key role in shaping the warm, intimate atmosphere at both Fugazzi and Latteria, where depth, tactility and material integrity define the experience.

At Fugazzi, the Bermuda Wall Light anchors the back bar, introducing a focused warmth grounded by the Rosso Levanto marble. Its alignment with the broader material palette allows the light fitting to read as an inherent part of the design rather than an applied element.

Within Latteria, the Bright Beads Disc Wall Light in Walnut is seamlessly integrated into the wall panelling, casting a gentle, even glow that balances and softens the surrounding material richness.

Across both spaces, Marz lighting sits comfortably within a high-quality material framework, introducing considered focal moments that enhance warmth, depth and the overall hospitality experience."
