From the moment I arrived, Copenhagen felt like a conversation between heritage and innovation - historic buildings and quiet courtyards sitting comfortably alongside material-driven studios and experimental design districts.
I spent my days wandering exhibitions, visiting makers, and connecting with designers whose work resonates with Marz’s ethos of warmth, simplicity, and lasting impact.
From tracing the city by bike to exploring centuries-old spaces reimagined through a modern lens, every corner offered inspiration in form, light, and detail. Copenhagen reminded me that great design isn’t just what you see - it’s what you feel: intentional, human-centred, and quietly confident.
Follow along as I share my favourite discoveries and moments from 3 Days of Design, an event that continues to inspire.
Ferm Living – Opening Night with Konkylie Bodega
Kicking off my Copenhagen adventure at Ferm Living’s Opening Night Party, hosted alongside the incredible Konkylie Bodega, was the perfect start - the courtyard was scattered with their iconic Desert Chairs, creating the most relaxed, inviting atmosphere. The evening was full of energy, design, and conversation.
Moving through their installations, it was inspiring to see how both the new Doro Collection and Ferm’s classics - like the iconic Ripple Glassware and their infamous Pond Mirrors - come to life in such a social, immersive setting. Seeing these pieces styled together showed just how seamlessly their design language evolves while staying true to its roots.
I also had the pleasure of a private tour of their headquarters, an 18th-century building beautifully restored to blend heritage with contemporary design.
It was a wonderful reminder that design isn’t just about objects - it’s about experiences and connections, something I always carry with me at Marz.
Tekla Fabrics - Modern Romance
At Tekla Fabrics’ Modern Romance exhibition, I was drawn to the delicate interplay of fabric, texture, and light. Their reinterpretation of broderie anglaise felt timeless yet modern, with soft linens paired with sculptural European walnut beds.
It was a poetic reminder that textiles shape a room’s mood, adding warmth, tactility, and subtle romance - thoughtful material choices make spaces feel lived-in, considered, and personal.
Frama - Structures of Living
Frama’s Structures of Living exhibition showcased the art of designing for smaller spaces, with every detail — from material choices to spatial solutions — demonstrating how restrained, thoughtful design can make a big impact. The exhibition also featured new furniture launches across three families: the Petit Rond, Ratio and Symmetry Series. From seating to mirrors and storage, each launch is grounded in architectural practice and was beautifully incorporated throughout Frama’s live-work spaces, extending from the Studio Store to the newly opened 57a Apartment next door.
I have long admired Frama’s approach — their focus on materiality, craftsmanship, and timeless simplicity aligns perfectly with Marz’s ethos. We’re proud to offer a curated selection of their pieces in Australia, including the 0405 Glassware, Farmhouse Series and the 01 Chair Collection, all bringing that refined Nordic sensibility into our clients’ spaces.
I also had the pleasure of a private tour of Frama’s headquarters, an 18th-century pharmacy reimagined for contemporary design. The space seamlessly blends historical architecture with modern function, perfectly reflecting the shared values between our brands.

Copenhagen’s 3 Days of Design reaffirmed why thoughtful design matters, it’s about more than form, it’s about feeling. The city’s effortless balance of heritage spaces and forward-thinking studios continues to influence how we think, create, and live at Marz, considered, crafted & quietly confident.
3 Days of Design was a beautiful reflection of that spirit, intentional, enduring & deeply human, values that sit at the heart of everything we do at Marz.
Until next time,
Takoda.
