Marz Designs would like to use Earth Day, an internationally recognised event to celebrate and demonstrate support for environmental protection, to announce our new partnership with Greenfleet. We are hoping to make a genuine difference for the environment and to take a more practical approach to combating climate change. As such, Marz Designs is proud and excited for the future with Greenfleet.

Greenfleet is a leading not-for-profit environmental organisation and Australia’s first carbon offset provider. Greenfleet protects our climate by restoring our forests, planting native biodiverse forests to capture carbon emissions and help fight the impacts of climate change. Since 1997, Greenfleet has planted more than 10 million native trees across 500 forests in Australia and New Zealand.

Last month, the Marz Designs team battled the Australian sun to attend a tree planting event in Yuggera Country in Queensland. Together, we planted nearly 2,000 native trees that will grow into a forest that not only removes carbon from the atmosphere, but restores biodiversity and provides habitat for local wildlife. To further offset our carbon footprint, we also contribute to Greenfleet’s CarbonCover 365. This means we will annually offset 20.3 tonnes of CO2e (the average amount of carbon emitted by an Australian each year) for every team member at Marz Designs.

We look forward to taking part in another tree planting event in the near future and continuing our active role in offsetting a total of 121.80 tonnes of CO2-e. With the help of Greenfleet, and with your support, this is Marz Designs commitment in taking practical climate action.
